I am in Leicester at DeMontfort University for a meeting about developing a trust management system. This is a collaborative project funded partly by NATO to encourage work among researchers in NATO countries. We have had some very interesting discussions of what trust means in software systems rather than social systems as well as how to model that in the context of critical systems. This is a long running project, but we have a good start here. I think there is an interesting future of working with policies in this space too.
